Improving safety in helmets for work and sports
Mips designs and makes low friction layers for helmets. The layer is designed to provide movement inside the helmet to help reduce rotational motion to the head. By reducing head movement, the risk of brain injuries is decreased. The different concepts are made of different materials and must be designed for every new helmet and size to keep functionality.
Challenge
Designing and testing high-performance helmets
Valoriim was tasked with design and project management for helmet projects, delivering a visually appealing solution that met all functional tests. Both design and testing was made by Valoriim as well as customer dialogs securing satisfaction.
Result
Delivering safer helmet solutions worldwide
Through our work at Mips we have successfully delivered projects for safer helmets with solutions in vacuum formed and injection moulded plastics together with brands and helmets manufacturers. The deliverable product was mass-produced in communication with a Chinese team and delivered to customer.
